Story & Clark History

The Story & Clark history begins in 1859 in Chicago with a music store which branched out into reed organ manufacturing, and became a world wide company with manufacturing plants in London and Berlin. The piano manufacturing began in 1895, and by 1901 moved their production to Grand Haven, MI where they remained until 1984. At that time, the company was sold to a furniture maker in Grand rapids, and soon thereafter, pianos stopped being made. In 1993 QRS Music Rolls, Inc. purchased the name and are still producing Story & Clark pianos which are made in the Samick factory in China.

Today, all new Story & Clark pianos include the PNO player system by the QRS company.
