5'7" Mahogany Satin Grand - Serial #222915 - 1923, Restored in 1980s
Built in 1923, this preowned Steinway has been restored with a new soundboard, pinblock, bridge-caps, strings, action parts & hammers in the 1980's. RPI did the bellywork and another reputable technician replaced the old action with Wessel, Nickel & Gross parts and new hammers, most likely in the 1990s. The WNG composite material is great for institutions with heavy use. It was also refinished in the 1980s, however has undergone extensive fading from sun exposure.
