What a lovely studio upright! Made in Korea by the Young Chang piano company, this Knabe has beautiful details that are reminiscent of the old-style uprights, though it is not as tall at 48". It has been very well cared for, owned by one family, and will be a great piano for a new family! It will fit well in a living room or music studio.

Knabe Piano History
Wm. Knabe & Company began manufacturing pianos in Baltimore, MD in 1839. His establishment grew until in 1908 it merged with Chickering and Foster Armstrong, two other large piano makers at the time. The Knabe company won many awards for their square grands and prided themselves in their high standards and handcrafted pianos. In 1932 Knabe once again merged with the Aeolian piano company, who continued to make the piano until 1981. In 1996 Young Chang built these pianos for the Mason & Hamlin company until 2002, when the Samick Music Corp tooke over production and control of the Knabe name. Today, the piano is a subsidiary of the Samick Music Corporation, which continues to produce pianos under the Knabe name.
