Falcone Piano History

The Falcone piano has a unique and interesting place in American piano history. In 1982, Santi Falcone began importing pianos for his retail stores and later invested in a piano factory in Haverhill, Massachusetts, where Falcone pianos were manufactured.

By 1989, Falcone had left the company, and it became Mason & Hamlin Corporation, producing pianos under several respected names, including Mason & Hamlin, Knabe, Sohmer, and George Steck. In 1996, the company was purchased by the Burgett family, owners of the PianoDisc music playback system.

Although the Falcone name is no longer produced, these pianos were built during a brief but noteworthy period from approximately 1982–1993. They are especially interesting because their design and scale were closely related to the Mason & Hamlin pianos of that era.
