Built in 1881, this restored 6'2" Steinway & Sons Model A grand underwent a substantial restoration in the 1980s before coming to Reeder Pianos and is now being carefully reconditioned by our expert technicians. At that time, the piano received a new soundboard, bridge caps, tuning pins and strings, pinblock, and hammers. The action was also reconditioned with new felts, and the cabinet was refinished.

The rosewood finish remains in good condition and showcases handsome original styling, including a carved music desk and distinctive flowerpot legs. The 85-note keyboard has had its original ivory keytops replaced. Rich in character and history, this instrument offers lasting musical enjoyment today while also representing a strong candidate for a future restoration. An artist bench is included.
