This 1936 Baldwin Model R grand piano in satin mahogany is a beautifully restored American instrument with both musical and visual appeal. Restored by RPI in the 1990s, it received a new soundboard, pinblock, strings, bridge caps, and hammers, while the action was carefully reconditioned with all new felts and leather. At some point following the restoration, the case was refinished in a rich red mahogany satin finish, giving the piano added warmth and distinction.
Lovingly cared for by its previous owner, this piano has been well maintained and continues to offer a beautiful, warm tone with the kind of richness and character that make these Baldwin grands so enjoyable to play. It is an elegant and inviting instrument that would make a lovely addition to any home or studio.
